Even though Kris Jenner is a successful businesswoman now, she admits she didn’t always know how to handle her money. In an interview for WSJ. Magazine’s latest digital cover story, she mentioned it. Jenner says she was clueless about her finances until she took control after her first divorce.

    Kris Jenner: The First Divorce

The 65-year-old star of Keeping Up with the Kardashians told her story. She said she “never paid a bill” while she was married to Robert Kardashian.

Robert, who passed away in 2003 shortly after being diagnosed with esophageal cancer, handles all the money during their marriage. Jenner explains that it wasn’t until their divorce that she started learning about finances on her own.

    The Turning Point

“One day, when I was going through my divorce from Robert, my friend Shelli Azoff asked me a question. She asked, ‘How much do you pay your gardener?’ I said, ‘I don’t know.’ She was surprised and said, ‘You don’t know?’

That moment was a turning point for me. I felt embarrassed not knowing. I realized I had new responsibilities and needed to figure things out. The good news is I pay attention and learn quickly, so I knew I had to get organized.

    Kris Jenner: Her Accomplishments

“I felt really proud of myself for figuring everything out. I was paying my own bills, earning my own money, and doing my own taxes. Even when I didn’t have much money, I stayed very organized,” Jenner said.

“Now, I handle more than just my finances. I manage all my famous children’s careers and have a strong interest in business. I’m curious about how people make money, what’s happening globally, and how different businesses grow and succeed. I just enjoy the business world.”

    Launching A New Product

Jenner, who Forbes says is worth about $190 million, is starting a new business with Chrissy Teigen. The TV star and cookbook author are teaming up with Good American co-founder/CEO Emma Grede to launch ‘Safely.’ Safely is a line of plant-based home cleaning and self-care products.

The collection will include hand cream, hand soap, hand sanitizer, glass cleaner, a universal cleaner, and more. Launching on Thursday, Safely focuses on “clean cleaning with natural aromatherapy scents,” according to the company.

The Reason for the New Venture

In an interview with WSJ. Magazine, Jenner explained why she is starting this business. She said she partnered with Chrissy Teigen on the new cleaning brand because she wanted to invest in something beneficial for the future and the environment.

Kris Jenner mentioned that the idea came from wanting to protect their families from harmful chemicals. With the whole pandemic situation, the timing for this new venture is perfect.
