You know them by their stage names: Beyoncé and Jay-Z. This celebrity couple has held the entertainment industry spellbound for years and is still making popular music.
It takes hard work to remain relevant in the music industry for multiple decades. But hard work is the quintessence of Beyoncé and Jay-Z. Just as their careers have cost them their lives and privacy, this duo doesn’t shy away from spending big when they want to.
We can’t call it ‘spending’ altogether because a real estate purchase is more of an investment. After enjoying the glamour and lushness of whatever mansion they buy, celebrities may end up selling the property at a profit.
Anyways, while Beyoncé and Jay-Z were not the only musicians to engage in real estate transactions in 2023, research has shown that theirs was by far the biggest. What distinguished the power couple was their purchase of a $190 million mansion in Malibu. Mr and Mrs Carter bought the beach city residence in May 2023.
Real estate brokers familiar with the Carter’s Malibu mansion said it sits on an 8-acre lot. The mansion was designed by Japanese architect Tadao Ando, and holds the record of the most expensive real estate sale in all of California. Likewise, it currently ranks as the second-most expensive home in all of the United States.
Some of the exquisite features that make the Carter Mansion so expensive are the wide perimeter of the lot itself. It also comes with an infinity pool and Zen water feature. In addition, the family has access to a private beach from the mansion. This implies that the Carters can go for a splash in the Malibu bay, away from the prying lenses of the paparazzi.
Drake is Trailing Jay and Bey on the list of most expensive real estate transactions. In 2023, Drake put his Beverly Hills mansion on the market for $88 million.
David Guetta, Jennifer Lopez, and Rod Stewart are also on the list of celebrities with top real estate deals for 2023.
Anyone familiar with the Carters knows them to be diverse in their business interests. While most people know them for their music, the couple has invested millions into other forms of business and seems to be going all out into real estate with the purchase of the Malibu mansion.
Beyoncé and Jay-Z are obviously looking beyond Grammys and sold-out tours to maximize their lives and brands.
